The Pentagon, bless their bureaucratic hearts, gave them a Friday deadline, which Anthropic presumably ignored while sipping oat milk lattes.

The only good outcome is China will take over and force them to develop AI for military purposes anyway. At least something will get done. This could also affect future military-tech industry cooperation.
