FCA Sells Out UK Data to Palantir, Because Why Not?
Our brilliant regulators hand over your financial deets to a Thiel-backed data-gobbling monster, and you won't believe their excuse (you will).

So, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), those paragons of virtue and competence, have decided to cozy up with Palantir, the data-mining behemoth co-founded by everyone's favorite Bond villain, Peter Thiel. What could possibly go wrong?
This isn't just some random deal; this is the FCA handing over the keys to the kingdom – or, more accurately, your financial records – to a company that cut its teeth working with ICE to deport illegal immigrants. Remember when the Left said everything was going to be like 1984? Turns out, they just needed the right billionaire to make it happen.
According to the FCA, Palantir's AI will help them sniff out financial crime. Sure, because nothing says "trustworthy regulator" like outsourcing your entire job to a shadowy tech firm with a penchant for government contracts. They're basically saying "We're too incompetent to do our jobs, so we're letting a US company do it for us!" Real inspiring.
But don't worry, guys! The FCA assures us that the US Cloud Act totally doesn't apply, and Palantir is just a humble "data processor," not a "data controller." Right. Just like how Hunter Biden was totally qualified to sit on the board of Burisma. We're through the looking glass here, people.
Martin Wrigley, some random Lib Dem MP, is whining about Trump getting his grubby mitts on our data. As if the Deep State needs Trump to snoop on you. They were doing it long before he came along, and they'll be doing it long after he's gone. This is bigger than Trump, folks. This is about the permanent surveillance state.
The best part? Sadiq Khan, bless his heart, actually blocked a similar deal with the Metropolitan Police. Apparently, even he has a limit to how much he's willing to sell out his constituents. The FCA, on the other hand? Full steam ahead!
Palantir also works with the NHS, the MOD and other government entities. Remember "papers please"? I'm not sayin' it's going to happen... but are we sure we want to give this company control over everything?
The Open Rights Group, bless their hearts, actually points out that the Cloud Act gives US authorities the right to access the data, regardless of what the FCA says. So much for British sovereignty, amirite?
So what's the solution? Simple: dismantle the surveillance state, hold these bureaucrats accountable, and tell Palantir to take their data-mining algorithms and shove them where the sun don't shine. But hey, that's just, like, my opinion, man. Don't forget to buy my new t-shirt 'Data is the New Oil!' Only $29.99.
