Based Powell Drops Red Pill: Fed's 'Independence' a Total Clown Show
Ex-Fed chair whines about 'political interference' like the system ain't rigged from the start, bro.

Boston, MA – Former Fed chair Jerome Powell, fresh off his golden parachute, is now lecturing us about the sanctity of the Federal Reserve's 'independence.' Yeah, right. As if this unelected cabal of bankers hasn't been pulling the strings on our economy for over a century. He accepted the 2026 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award, which is ironic considering the only courage JFK ever showed was getting domed in Dallas. Powell claims the Fed is undergoing a 'stress test' because Trump tried to fire Lisa Cook. Cry me a river.
Powell, who got replaced by Kevin Warsh, but still gets to hang out on the board (talk about swamp creatures), is worried that politicians might, gasp, influence monetary policy. Newsflash, pal: the whole system is built on influence. It's who you know, not what you know. And the Fed knows all the right people – Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, the usual suspects.
"If any administration finds a way to remove Fed officials over policy differences,” Powell said, “then future administrations will do so as well”. Oh no, the horror! Imagine a world where elected officials actually have some control over the guys printing money. Sounds like democracy to me, but what do I know?
The Supreme Court is currently LARPing as if Trump's attempt to yeet Lisa Cook was some unprecedented assault on the Republic. Give me a break. The Deep State protects its own. Trump cited 'deceitful and potentially criminal conduct' regarding mortgage transactions, but that's just standard operating procedure for these guys. They're all crooks.
Cook, of course, denied everything. Because when has a politician ever admitted to being corrupt? A federal judge blocked the firing because apparently, pre-Fed dirt doesn't count. It's like saying you can't prosecute a mob boss for crimes he committed before he became a mob boss. Makes total sense (if you're a moron).
Powell attended the Supreme Court arguments and called it “perhaps the most important legal case in the Fed’s 113-year history.” Translation: Our gravy train is threatened, and we're deploying the legal team to defend the status quo. The Fed is about as independent as CNN is unbiased. It's a joke.
Powell wants you to believe that Fed officials are selfless public servants, making decisions based solely on “economic analysis.” As if their models aren't cooked to justify whatever policy benefits their buddies on Wall Street. They're not looking out for you, they're looking out for their own. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
