They're out there screeching about equality and diversity, but when it comes time to actually vote, suddenly qualifications and electability magically matter again. It's almost like performative wokeness is just that: performative.

These broads who make it to the top in other states? Yeah, they face roadblocks. Roadblocks like, oh I don't know, having to prove they're not totally incompetent, just like dudes do. But in Cali, the narrative has gotta be patriarchy, oppression, blah blah blah. Get a new script, losers.

Cali's the size of a small country and the economy is a dumpster fire fueled by tech bros and government overreach. You need a tough SOB to run that circus, and apparently the woke electorate isn't convinced that's a woman. Maybe because the 'ladies' they offer up are carbon copies of the same failing policies, just with a skirt.

They whine about fundraising. Yeah, because donors aren't stupid. They wanna back a winner, and if the gal's platform is 'tax the rich more' and 'defund the police,' good luck getting past the woke primary. But don't let that stop you from screaming about sexism, queens.

Historically, governor-types got experience. But now it's about 'representation.' So, naturally, the end result is people who are great at identity politics and terrible at actual governing. It's all about the vibe, baby.

So here we are, stuck with another male governor while the state burns down (figuratively and sometimes literally). And the libs will clutch their pearls and wonder why. Maybe, just maybe, voters are tired of being pandered to and actually want someone who can fix the damn state. But nah, must be sexism.
